Living a Plant-Based Life
Welcome to Peace, Love and Plants! I’m Nicole and I started my journey towards living a peaceful and plant-based life over 10 years ago. I’ve had ups and downs and a lot of trial and error along the way. I started this blog because I want to share what I’ve learned and hopefully provide some inspiration for your own journey!
I started a vegan diet on a bit of whim back in 2009 after reading about the harmful effects meat and dairy have on our bodies. I was instantly amazed at how much better I felt! I lost weight, slept better, and did not get sick nearly as often. Through the years (and life changes), I’ve transitioned from vegan to vegetarian and back again. After learning even more about the horrors of factory farming I can’t imagine ever going back. Plus there are so many delicious cruelty-free options!
I love taking traditional recipes and “veganizing” them. I also love using what I have and trying to make the most of it. You’ll see lots of ideas for swaps and substitutions, but feel free to give things your own flair! That’s what makes it great!
Whether you were born vegan or are simply trying to find ways to incorporate more plants into your diet, I sincerely hope I can be a useful resource in your journey.
